Yarn Project

On February 4th Carol is going to work magic on:

  1. Bulletyou bought yarn but don’t remember why

  2. Bulletyou bought yarn with no project in mind

Come on, admit it - we are all guilty of this.  Schedule an appointment with Carol to review what you have and give it a purpose.  Times available between 2:30pm and 4:30pm

Stashology

The science or art of the stash.  On February 25th, sneak out of the house with all your stash and join Lynda for an afternoon where she’ll take the mystery out of what to do with your stash.  You will be shocked as to how much fun it is to design a one of a kind piece.

Think Spring

Mark February 14th on your calendars!  Stop by Dyed In The Wool and think Spring!  Ok, it is Valentine’s Day, but we are celebrating Spring.  It’s a great day to look ahead for a project for someone you love for the Spring and what better way than to think green - all green yarns will be on sale on February 14th.

March/April Guided Knit

Let me just say - it is a MUST HAVE!!!  We were talking about the newsletter and I asked to see the March/April Guided Knit (I’m a visual kind of gal).  Carol was actually wearing it and I immediately put away my two projects I am currently working on and started picking out my yarn.  The lovely versatile shrug can be used to accent any, and I mean any, outfit.  It is perfect for the spring and summer when you need a little something to keep your shoulders warm or in restaurants when the air conditioning is so cold.  The colors are endless.  Register now and choose your yarns.  The project is absolutely fabulous - at the end of every summer, I say “I need to get a little shrug” because I am always cold inside during the summer.  Well, my yarn is already ordered and I picked an off-white to be as neutral as possible.  Now, I need to get knitting so I can finish some of these projects.

The shrug can be worn open or

closed with the wonderful

pedestal buttons shown here.

The Lucia scarf is also shown.

Lucia Scarf

Want to give lace a try?  Be adventurous and join Carol and Lynda on February 11th to try the Lucia Scarf.  The yarn is a machine washable/dryable linen and wool blend.

Knitters Fantasy

Want a fun Girls’ Day Out at a great price?  Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 14th and plan to attend Knitters Fantasy in Youngstown, Ohio.  This event is one of our favorites every year and Carol, Lynda and Beth Davis will be there again this year.  Keep watching this space for more information and a link when it becomes available.

After Dark

After dark we will be locking our doors, please knock on the door to let us know you are there.

Special Request

Now that everyone has settled in after the holiday and we are back in the routine of things, it’s time to knit!  Even if you are a regular in one of our knitting classes we are asking everyone to confirm they are staying with a class time.

We have had many requests for knitting lessons and with the limited times available we need to establish what is actually open.  Your confirmation will really help us in this effort.  Also, we ask that if you will not be able to make a class, please let us know.  If you miss more than twice without notifying us, we will assume that the seat will be available for someone on our waiting list.  Thank you so much for your cooperation.

Just In

The HiyaHiya Sharps are in and they are wonderful.  There are interchangeable sets, individual and extra cords and needle tips.  Come in and they them.

Anniversary Drawing

Congratulations to Lois Bowser!  Lois is the winner of the Anniversary Drawing and the recipient of $80 to spend at Dyed In The Wool.  How fun is that!  Happy Shopping Lois and Happy Anniversary to Lynda and Carol.

Purls of Wisdom Bulletin Board

The girls are creating a Purls of Wisdom Bulletin Board on the website and in the store.  Please feel free to add to it at any time whether your Purls of Wisdom are how to creatively get rid of an extra stitch or something intellectually profound.  You can email anything through our Facebook page or to our email address,

Socks, Socks, Socks

The Guided Knit for February is the Travelling Stitch Sock.  The motif that runs down the side of the sock is called a clock and you will be putting clocks into your socks in no time.

Squares for Scotland

We are currently collecting 4” squares knitted from wool for the Alzheimers/Dementia Awareness Project.  We will continue to collect these squares through March.  If you would like to knit them at the store on Saturday, February 18th between 2:30pm and closing.  We will be marking progress on our chart with a heart for every 25 squares collected.  Read more about this project on our blog.
